From the very first time we met Hazel and Michael, we knew they were a fun couple and that their wedding was going to be even more fun. The throughout the entire day that were filming and editing their same day edit, we were smiling.

This same day edit is special for many reasons. Not only is it our first same day edit where the couple had no clue it was being made, but that the bride and groom are of the extended family of alumiq productions/Onyx Cinema.

This was easily one of the most fun wedding’s we’ve ever shot/edited a same day edit for. Not only was it a beautiful location, but also a fun-loving couple who is very much in love as you can tell by their vows. Their vows were completely on the spot.

When it was Bernard’s turn to speak, there was a long pause, as he didn’t know what to say, but soon after it all came gushing out and we heard some of the sweetest words ever to be spoken at a ceremony. Grace also gave her vows straight from the heart, and they were no less tear-jerkers.

Our favorite moment of the evening? The dance-off between the mother and son versus the father and daughter. The highlight of the dance-off? Bernard and his mother dancing to “I’m Sexy and I Know It”

At the Hyatt Huntington beach, Amy and John tied the knot in true style, with a wedding like no other. They had us do a same day edit, but had a special request – for us to do TWO same day edits.

The day was split into two almost separate weddings, with a Vietnamese reception during the daytime and a special western reception in the night time. Above is the first same day edit that we showed in the beginning of the evening reception as we were editing Same Day Edit #2. It was a request that really challenged us to push our limits.

Amy and John made a special dance presentation along with “Poreotics”, who were featured on America’s Best Dance Crew. The performance was nothing short of amazing. A special video of their first dance performance below.

In addition, John made the special request for a separate live feed camera to project onto two screens in the side of the room. You can take a peek at it on the second same day edit as well as the Poreotics video. We weren’t sure whether we had the man power to do it, but one of the SDE editing team, Anthony Vu, ran to operate and switch the live feed.

Our team came together with other vendors to pull off a feat we’ve never done before with a skeleton crew for what was requested by the groom. Each same day edit stands up on its own.

Andrea and Ryan had their Same Day Edit (SDE) at the beautiful Adamson House in Malibu on 10-10-10. Joining them were 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen all decked out in off-white and teal attire.

Andrea and Ryan can put smiles on anyone’s face. Even during their vows, they managed to throw in jokes.

We had such a wonderful time being able to shoot next to the beach, work with a great photo team, and Tastea catered drinks. You can’t beat boba at a wedding!

The opening shot is by far one of my most favorite shots we’ve ever filmed. We hope you enjoy this SDE.

Janice and Don are not your typical couple. Janice does not typically wear make-up, watches baseball, and reads Game of Thrones. Things you would think Don would do, but does not.

This wedding was the mixing of cultures. Janice is Filipino-American and Don is Vietnamese American. After a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony, Janice and her family got to experience more Vietnamese cuisine. She even wore a beautiful Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese dress)

It was an awesome wedding from an awesome couple.

We had the pleasure of filming this Same Day Edit for Ida and Vincent. They are a beautiful couple who are huge Lakers fans. Even their bridal colors reflected the World Champs’ colors. It was a fun filled day of joking around and filming good looking people.

We get a lot of silly goofy couples and we love it! Ida and Vincent put together their own video montage of them playing basketball and during their first dance they did the popular Evolution of Dance from Youtube. The crowd went INSANE when these two were rockin’ the dance floor. By far, one of the most fun weddings we had the pleasure of filming.

We meet a lot couples who love to act silly. Hanh and Huy are no exception to the rule. On the day of the wedding, they were smiling, joking around and just having a great time. They are surrounded by friends who act the same way, so their love reflects a lot of love and laughter in their lives. They are a wonderful couple who really are down-to-Earth. We even got a chance to film them riding a motor bike, very reminiscent of life in Vietnam.

Linda and Philip know how to party! They came from Cleveland, Ohio to South California’s own Surf City USA to celebrate their wedding. They are one of the happiest couples we have filmed. The entire day was full of them joking, laughing, drinking, dancing, and most of all, just spending quality time with friends and family.

This Same Day Edit was definitely a crowd pleaser in that all many of the guest got a chance to be involved in its production. We hope you enjoy it as well.

We made our way to San Francisco to shoot Eliza and Jayson to shoot their Same Day Edit. It was a blast being able to shoot an event in the Bay Area and be a part of Eliza and Jayson’s special day. Their MC was the announcer voice of the Golden State Warriors, which made the event so much more exciting.

If you do not already know, the people in San Francisco are very warm and welcoming. Eliza and Jayson are no different. The have a great sense of style and it showed just by their invitations. We hope you enjoy their video.
